Counselling for Adults and young people
I have been working as a counsellor for many years, seeing adults and young people in private practice and also in agency, company and school settings. I use an integrative approach and enable clients to determine the focus, pace and depth of their counselling.
How can counselling help?
Counselling gives an opportunity to talk to a qualified professional in a confidential and neutral environment. It allows the expression of concerns and feelings about problems that may be troubling you.
My role is to help you find your own solutions to your problems, and where appropriate, to explore the connections these problems might have to past experiences.
You can find out more information about counselling from the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy www.bacp.co.uk
How long will counselling last and how much will it cost?
Each session lasts 50 minutes. Many people come to weekly sessions for 6 - 8 weeks, concentrating on a particular immediate problem. Others may choose to continue for a longer period should they wish to explore their issues further. The fee for each session is £45, payable at the end of every session. Payment can be made by cheque or cash.
How do you make an appointment?
Please telephone me on 01727 840743. I will return any messages left on my voice mail. You may also contact me by email at jackie.gess@ntlworld.com
Confidentiality
Confidentiality will be maintained unless I am concerned for your safety or the safety of others. I will discuss this issue with you in the first session.
